Amanda Lee Kelsall, a second year Medical Student at the University of Ottawa went to be with her "Papa" in heaven on January 5, 2014 as a result of a car accident near Pembroke, Ontario.
The hand of God was evident through Amanda’s entire life. Amanda’s painting of the "Pure Bride" is a reflection of the faith that she lived out and the assurance of the promise that one day Jesus would take His Bride, those who believe in Him, to live with Him for eternity in the place that He has prepared for us in Heaven. The NASA image of an exploding star, named the "Hand of God" was featured in the news on January 10, 2014, the day of the Memorial Service for Amanda.
Placing the images side by side, we truly see the "Pure Bride" in the "Hand of God". Amanda’s faith is now sight.
Purpose: Planting seeds of faith, hope and love.
The purpose of Mission Amanda is to carry on the work that the Lord began in Amanda’s life; to lift up the name of Jesus; to point others to the hope and abundant life that we can all have through faith in Jesus Christ.
In life, we are each given many choices. The decisions and choices we make affect our character, our attitudes, our direction in life and ultimately our final destination. Amanda consistently made choices in her life that would help her to become the person that God wanted her to be. She understood that God, her Intelligent Designer, lovingly created her for a purpose in life and that through a personal relationship with her, He would guide her on the right path. Read More
